As the industry moves away from long-form research and dense reports, we’re excited to introduce something different.

What is UNFILTERED?

U2030 UNFILTERED is an ongoing point-of-view (PoV) program that surfaces clear, experience-based perspectives from utility leaders—delivered through a series of focused topics based on what our members most want and need to understand.

Each series explores a critical issue shaping the industry. Each feature is short, direct, and grounded in real-world experience—designed to help leaders navigate complexity, make better decisions, and lead with confidence.

This is not a traditional content program. It’s not a collection of interviews buried in long reports. It’s a no-nonsense platform for leadership clarity.

UNFILTERED is led by Erin Autin, who conducts each conversation—bringing a consistent, thoughtful approach that draws out honest insights, practical lessons, and real leadership perspectives from every contributor.

We’re creating space for leaders to share what they’re seeing, what they’re learning, and how they’re thinking through challenges in real time—without over-polishing or overcomplicating it.

Series 1: AI — Judgment in the Age of Acceleration

Launching June 2026

We’re kicking off UNFILTERED with a topic that’s on every leader’s mind: AI. As AI reshapes the utility landscape, the question is no longer what AI can do—it’s what leaders should do with it. This first series explores the evolving relationship between human judgment and artificial intelligence in utility leadership. Through real-world perspectives, leaders will share:

  • Where AI is accelerating decisions
  • Where it’s introducing risk
  • Where human judgment remains essential

At its core, this series is about boundaries:

  • Where should AI inform?
  • Where should humans decide?
  • How do leaders navigate that line in practice?

We’re cutting through the noise to get insights from leaders about using AI responsibly and how it’s augmenting leadership, but not replacing it.
