Charleston, SC – April XX, 2026 – Participants in the U2030 RADIATE Women’s Leadership Program will gather at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, on April 21, 2026, for a pivotal in-person workshop focused on Leadership Styles and Applied Leadership—while applications officially open for the 2026–2027 class.

About the Program
Now in its seventh month, the current RADIATE class is progressing through a 12-month leadership journey, developing the next generation of utility leadership skills through immersive, human-centered experiences grounded in real-world applications. It combines nine months of virtual curriculum with three in-person experiences, one-on-one mentoring, and a Capstone Project.

Earlier this year, participants convened in Fort Collins, Colorado, for a utility site visit hosted by the City of Fort Collins, including a tour of Colorado State University’s Powerhouse campus. As part of U2030’s Community Service Program, the group also partnered with Engineering Brightness to build solar-powered lanterns for communities facing light poverty.

Workshop in Charleston: Leadership in Practice
The Charleston RADIATE workshop represents a core milestone in the program. The full-day session focuses on deepening participants’ understanding of their leadership styles and applying those insights to real-world challenges. Through facilitated discussion, experiential Learning Experience Design (LXD) activities, and peer exchange, participants will explore how leadership shifts under pressure, across stakeholders, and within complex organizational environments.

From Workshop to Stage: ENERGIZE and Beyond
Immediately following the workshop, participants will attend the U2030 ENERGIZE Retreat, sponsored by Avertra, where some RADIATE leaders will deliver Ignite Talks to build confidence and sharpen their ability to communicate with clarity and impact.

Graduation at SPARK Annual Meeting

The program culminates at the U2030 SPARK Annual Meeting, September 28–30, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. RADIATE participants will graduate and share their Capstone projects with attendees—demonstrating a year of growth, applied leadership, and measurable impact.

Applications Now Open for 2026–2027 Cohort
U2030 is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 U2030 RADIATE Women’s Leadership Program, beginning in October 2026. Designed for utility and solution-provider professionals, the program offers a structured path for emerging and mid-career women leaders to build confidence, strengthen critical leadership capabilities, and form lasting peer connections. RADIATE prepares participants to lead through the transformation that is reshaping the utility industry.
