U2030 ET CoE Mtg: Driving Change through Electrification & EVs

Energy Transition Center of Excellence Abstract:

There are many twists and turns on the road to a reduced-carbon future. Not the least of these are the challenges in preparing for an electrified future to support the continued growth of EVs. While this is a “growth opportunity” for many utilities—selling more electrons!—this brings utilities face-to-face with challenges like inaccessible infrastructure. Utility leaders must also rethink their assumptions on how the grid operates and how utility customers must interact with their utility in this new world.

During this Energy Transition (ET) CoE meeting, we’ll hear from two utility industry leaders spearheading electrification and EV expansion for their utilities. They will share their goals, successes, and lessons learned on the road to the electrified future.

Key Takeaways:

  • – Get insights on preparing staffing and technology for EVs.
  • -Learn what utilities are doing to prepare for an electrified future characterized by an ever-changing regulatory and legislative landscape.
  • -Hear lessons learned and successes thus far.
