Book: Women Holding the Line

Women Holding the Line is a book project led by U2030 CEO Vanessa Edmonds, focused on the women leading the systems most of us rarely think about - until they are tested or must be transformed. Electricity. Water. The infrastructure that keeps communities functioning every day.

In moments of crisis and change, these leaders step forward to make decisions under pressure, often without a clear playbook. This book explores what it truly means to “hold the line” - to lead with clarity, resilience, and humanity when the stakes are high and the outcomes matter.

It also brings forward the unique challenges women face in these roles, and why their leadership is not only valuable, but essential to the future of these systems.

Book Interviews: Planned or Completed

Vanessa is conducting interviews for the book throughout 2026 with the plan to publish it in 2027 and gift it to the U2030 RADIATE Women’s Leadership program participants during each 12-month program.
